Open House and Workshop on Intercloud Computing

The first annual University of Florida ACIS/CAC Open House will be held September 30 & October 1 on the University of Florida campus. CAC semiannual meeting, Fall 2010

The Fall 2010 meeting for the Center for Autonomic Computing is scheduled for October 5 & 6 at the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, FL. The meeting will start at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5 and end at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6.

Getting around Gainesville

Getting to Gainesville:  The Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) is located nine miles from the University of Florida campus, and is serviced by Delta and US Airways. Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) are each approximately two hours away from Gainesville by car. Attendees flying into JAX or MCO can get to Gainesville by rental car (directions can be found here) or using the Runways shuttle service (1-800-578-6929). 

Transportation:  Please note that all events associated with both the CAC semiannual meeting and the CAC/ACIS Open House will be held on the University of Florida campus; attendees do not need to provide their own transportation during the meeting. For attendees who would like to rent a car, a list of rental car companies with offices at the Gainesville Regional Airport is provided below; directions from GNV to the Reitz Union Hotel can be found here. Parking at the Reitz Union Hotel is included in the conference room rate.
